A Man's Dream Also for Women
This year I was on the hunt for Dior fragrances. The price increases at LVMH are really something, and that's why I wanted to expand my collection with my all-time favorite scents as quickly as possible. This year alone, at least 4 wonderful fragrances joined my collection.
Each time I could choose a sample, and since I'm not very adventurous with makeup and cosmetics, I picked two fragrance samples. And each time, one of them was "Tobacolor | Dior." I love tobacco scents, which is actually quite untypical for me, but after "1 Million Privé | Paco Rabanne" and "Side Effect | Initio," I knew I had to try it. Peach isn't exactly my best friend, but I still wanted to take the plunge.
I was not disappointed; on the contrary, the fragrance landed on my wish list the very minute I sprayed it.
The Fragrance:
Tobacolor starts with a strong sweetness from honey and peach, making it seem rather feminine at first. The tobacco is more of a supporting character initially. After about an hour, it begins to dominate. The sweetness has slightly faded, and the scent becomes increasingly neutral. After about 2 hours, the tobacco takes its throne and presents itself in its absolute masculinity. It knows what it wants and asserts itself. Shisha associations are definitely present, but I find it much more masculine than "1 Million Privé | Paco Rabanne," which simply smells of sweet shisha tobacco and can therefore also be worn well by women. I would even say that the fragrance can possess elegance in the right dosage.
The longevity is above average for me - sometimes when sprayed on the skin, I can still smell it the next morning. I would definitely give it at least 8-16 hours. I haven't experienced anything like that before. On clothing, it lasts for several days.
Even though it drifts into the masculine, it will soon find a place in my collection.
