Powdery and Sharp
Fleur de Peau by Diptyque is a fragrance I had been curious about for a while, but when I revisited my sample yesterday, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. Right from the first spray, it tingled my nose in an odd way, making the experience feel a bit sharp and uncomfortable.
As it developed, I couldn’t shake the impression that it smelled like baby powder or baby wipes. While some might find this nostalgic or comforting, to me, it felt overly clean and a little cloying. It’s not unpleasant per se, but it’s also not something I see myself reaching for again.
This one just didn’t click with me, but it might work for someone who loves soft, powdery scents with a touch of innocence.
