A beautiful paradox
If I had to describe this fragrance in one word, it would be a paradox: vintage yet modern, cold yet warm, soft yet loud. Perhaps it is a quiet nod to the contrasts in the myth of Eros and Psyche, the love story that inspired its creation.
It is intoxicating and hauntingly beautiful. I imagine black and pink swirling together or the patterns shifting in a kaleidoscope.
The first sniff comes with a spark as peppery notes ignite in my nose like tiny fireworks. The scent itself is musky, with iris worked in such a delicate way. It feels unique, although I also smell similarities with Diptyque Orphéon, perhaps because both were created by the same perfumer, Olivier Pescheux?
