Confusion..
I don't understand this fragrance. Orphéon was a nightclub in Paris in the 60s where the Diptyque founders often met and spent their nights in the beginning. Smoke, rouge and patinated wood should be embodied. But it's best to forget that now, because this fragrance is none of those things. Smoke and nightclub would have been the last thing on my mind if I had smelled this fragrance blind. And that's why I was so disappointed at first.
If you don't let the story blind you, you get a soft floral with a slightly woody undertone and a vintage touch. Orphéon is more reminiscent of a luxurious bar of soap in a chic Parisian hotel. Very beautiful and high-quality, no doubt about it, but not at all what it is supposed to say.

I wouldn't necessarily have thought of a jazz bar, but if this jazz bar were to be open during the day during the urban spring, then I personally might be able to get into it. Nevertheless, the story remains pretty wild for me.
I have only rarely found access to this brand so far and therefore read your experiences with interest.
Many thanks for that!
