I always find it fascinating how differently a scent can manifest on the skin. Unfortunately, the perfume develops quite differently for me than expected. Instead of the soft, perhaps slightly elegant note I had hoped for, it comes across on my skin as very fresh - almost cool - and surprisingly masculine.
This isn't necessarily negative, as the scent definitely has character and a certain clarity. However, this direction doesn't quite suit me personally, as I was expecting something warmer or more balanced. Especially in comparison to how others describe the scent, it becomes clear how individually perfume is perceived.
Typical for Dyptique is the special, often very natural and high-quality composition - and you can definitely notice that here. The scent is by no means cheap or unpleasant, but rather special and idiosyncratic. Still, it doesn't quite resonate with my taste, as the masculine freshness is too dominant for me.
Conclusion: An interesting, high-quality scent with a clear signature - but unfortunately not quite "my" scent.
