NOT a fruity-floral for a change
I received a free tester of this one some months ago and must say that I was pleasantly surprised. At least this scent is NOT a fruity-floral for a change, since Dita said in an interview that she hated fruity and overtly girly fragrances. She wanted her scent to smell "glamorous". Well, in order to come across as glamorous as the usual adversiting blurp suggests, this perfume would need some better ingredients. The ideas behind it (Bulgarian rose, pepper, patcouli etc.) aren't bad at all, but the excecution is coarse and the fragrance smells a bit cheap, but not in the least worse than offerings by mainstream companies which charge much more (I'm thinking of Gucci Guilty or of Burberry, for example). Staying power is above average, after 4hs, the scent still lingers in the air and on my skin.
Btw, the smallest bottle in the line (20 ml) does not stand upright, but slips into any handbag easily. I think it's pretty, btw. The larger flacon with the ball atomizer is hard to handle and isn't practical.

Gothic lady
An extraordinary perfume very expensive smell, I fell in love with the classic black bottle and now my collection of gothic perfumes is almost full. Don't hesitate and give it a chance is very classy and not sweet at all. Enormous lasting power I can still smell it next day. Bravo Dita well done.

Absolutely stunning
I love this perfume a lot. I've got it from a pleasant swap but I've never expected such an amazing fragrance. So feminine, intimate and cozy, I am completely bewitched. It's a pitty it has been discontinued... though still could be find on line in few places. I'm looking forward for a back up bottle.
No mistery that I love almost all perfumes digned by Nathalie Lorson.❤️

And where are the Nipple Tassels now, Ms. von Teese?
Googled endlessly, sifted through comments, studied pictures. Found nothing. Neither sequined Nipple Tassels nor any other colorful (self-adhesive) goodies for free with the fragrance. Why not, Ms. von Teese? You want to tease us, huh? But it would be a nice idea for the Christmas season *wink*.

Now to the scent: Despite the sex toy bottle (I mean the 20-ml version), it unfortunately starts off rather unremarkably. Sensual in the sense of "Mom is wearing leopard print panties" today. Slightly fruity spice and a hint of heavy-duty jasmine. For a good half hour, the worn-out foreplay smells sweetly on its own until finally, the flair of Dita jumps out of the cake.

This big jump is, however, quite different from what one might expect. There is nothing dirty, excessive, or predatory here. The jasmine is very dry-powdery and ultimately not that sweet at all. You can hardly smell the rose. But instead, there’s the absolute highlight: The characteristically nutty-unsweet Manuka honey as a delicate cream soap! Along with a lot of slightly dusty smoke, like the atmosphere of a 1940s variety show. A flirtatious yet delicate composition. And that’s exactly the Teese!

She puts on a great show here. I gladly forgive her the dull start and the missing extras. Because you don’t come across this every day: Manuka honey in a perfume. Even if not personally represented, it is perfectly imitated by an unusually unsweet Tiaré flower.

The beautiful facade is sometimes all that matters.

Thanks to Blauemaus for the tip: I can well imagine the little black one on my dresser!

A Successful Superfluity
Truly diva-like is the presentation area of the first fragrance by Dita von Teese. Glossy black shines the wide pedestal that you walk directly towards upon entering the perfumery. There is no way to get around it, and it is also impossible to overlook this multitude of black atomizers, this battalion of perfume bottles. Also black. I am curious, but I don’t want to pounce on my prey right away; instead, I sneak around it, circle it, wanting to save the discovery for the end.
In the meantime, I take a little look around the store and study what else there is to discover. I haven’t been here in a long time and I am surprised at how elegant the store has become after its renovation, and I discover the Guerlain private area. Losing track of time and space, I first get lost in the Guerlain temple. Now I understand why so many revere Guerlain here. All the fragrances I am testing for the first time, whether they suit my taste or not, are elegant. Many were even delicate and soft in their composition, which I had not known from Guerlain before. After this magic, on my way to the exit, I then tested Femme Total by Dita von Teese, and it had a tough time. At that moment, I found it boring, having encountered it a thousand times elsewhere, Femme Total totally known. But that does not do it justice. You don’t let second-league teams compete against national teams. Nevertheless, the footballers in the second Bundesliga can still play good football. So it is here too.
First of all: Femme Total does not smell sweet. And it does not smell like vanilla, which Dita von Teese personally placed a lot of value on. She did not want to smell like a little girl, but like an adult woman. The scent is intense, fresh, and has something floral, which must be the peony, though I do not recognize it as a rose, which is not a problem. The whole thing has a certain sharpness, giving the fragrance a slight severity. It comes across as a bit dominant without really striking with a whip. This fragrance is present; it does not hide. Accompanied by a slightly oriental note, which gives the composition warmth, yet without becoming heavy. And - of course - it is powdery. That is a must for a burlesque artist.
Looking at the offered bottle sizes and prices, 20 ml and 40 ml between 17,- and 29,- Euros, it becomes clear to me who the target audience is and what the competing products are. In my opinion, better than other pop star or model fragrances. This bottle in vintage dress with a balloon atomizer is designed for young women who appreciate the style of the 30s, 40s, and 50s. It is an accessory for going out, which you can take in your handbag, with which you not only smell good but can also stylishly reapply after hours of dancing. And for that, it is just right - the bottle and the fragrance. Pretty embellishment, a very nice superfluity.

Not mainstream enough for the masses. Great, slightly dark floral scent with an earthy touch and a skilled vintage appeal. Fits!

20ml bottle. Fam. tester M: "Don't you think it looks like a butt plug?" He kind of has a point. But it smells good.

Strange: Here, the floral orgy levels are set to 10 as expected, yet the scent isn't overpowering. Everyday eroticism.

Patchouli-infused polarizer, really unusual for a drugstore. I can't handle the heavy jasmine and the scratchy base. Too bad.

Dark elixir! Powdery woody with rose-spicy and jasmine-green. Unsweetened patchouli grounds it, pepper adds spice.
Fiery in many variations, GOOD!
