I like “sleep herbs”-I might borrow that sometime 😁

Hmm, I probably wouldn’t be all that impressed either.

Sleep herbs… We could do a lot more with sleep herbs.

Neither the old nor the new version impresses me.

You could smell it everywhere in the ’90s. The re-release seems pretty bland.

Sounds like a 4.5 to me. 😆

Of course, the 2012 isn’t as refined as the 1994, but compared with many others on the market, it’s still outstanding. I don’t find it boring at all. Classic ’90s elegance that always works. I can pick up the tobacco pretty well-not overpowering, but definitely there in the background.

Sleep-inducing herbs? Better not. Beautifully put, including the bit below!

Beautifully described. “The tobacco is absent without leave” is especially well put. I agree with everything, even about its boring character, but the fragrance still works for me. I enjoy it.

I can see that-maybe “boring” was a bit harsh of me. It’s just a scent that doesn’t bother or overwhelm you, so it’s easy to wear. Sometimes that’s much more pleasant than an intriguing fragrance that might start to get on your nerves after a while...

For me, boring is sometimes even worse than truly bad.

Somehow I missed this one. In theory, though, it fits.

This is all too limp for me: the citrus is juicy but not particularly fresh, with no bitter edge; the herbs are far too soft and almost veer into shower gel territory (especially the sage). The cedar is still okay, the tonka bean is its usual (unnecessary) self, and the tobacco is conspicuously absent. It’s not exactly bad, just boring.
