Coconut Ipanema
A warmer version of Light Blue with coconut and vanilla. It makes me think of a summery virgin cocktail, maybe something like an Ipanema (alcohol-free Caipirinha) with lemon instead of lime and extra coconut. Just so sweet, fizzy and refreshing that I almost want to drink it.
I usually a bit wary about green apple as a note, but it's fine here, smells natural and not like screechy green apple flavor.
I can also sense the typical cedar of the original Light Blue, which makes this a little less gourmand and tames the sweetness.
To my nose this isn't a creamy beachy floral, it's much fruitier and fresher.
The performance is nothing to write home about, but okay. Other Light Blue flankers like Love is Love from 2020 are way weaker.
When this was new I tried it on a blotter on a cold day and I could barely smell anything notable, but then I got a sample and tried it several times on my skin in spring, where I had absolutely no trouble detecting it. Since then I bought a bottle and wore this often in summer and on holidays. Now it reminds me of lounging at the pool, but it's also perfect for any daytime activity on a warm day.
ETA: I really, really love this in summer and reach for it often. It's the perfect mix of a citrus freshie and a warm coconut-vanillig scent. Even when I'm not in the mood for most perfumes, it doesn't fail me.
