This one grew on me; the final time I wore it was probably my best experience with it. Velvet Blue Musk leans quite feminine, but not necessarily because of the rose note. The musk is so soft and sensual, almost delicate in this fragrance.
The opening is what drew me in when spraying on strip. A really beautiful smooth cardamom that reminded me of Gris Charnel Eau de Parfum, but the drydown is quite a bit different. A rose/sandalwood/musk accord dominates, and it's extremely classy. Definitely goes for the oriental, similar to musk-based attars, so I can see the idea behind the original name. Might be a bit too "elegant" for me to pull off but I'm going to leave it in my maybe pile for now because it is an exquisite creation.
