Gunpowder ashore

When I first developed a taste for perfume, I rejected this note, even when it was just an accessory. Recently, I've delved deeper into fragrances with leather. Robert, the creator behind the DeVulgares brand, is largely responsible for this.

The opening of this perfume captivates with complex citrus notes, among which yuzu vies for attention, supported by spices (more fresh than warm), with an almost metallic aspect and a saline, oceanic facet. The leather, clean, polished, and worn, soon emerges, gaining prominence alongside a smoky and woody base, very subtly animalic.

The overall image is reminiscent of an old but well-cared-for leather jacket worn by a sailor, now ashore, ready for rest. Beneath the garment, a firearm reminds him of what he has faced at sea.

Adequate projection for everyday wear, excellent longevity. It's pleasing and makes a statement.

I cannot help but recommend Robert's brand to those interested in bold, complex aromas and unafraid to showcase the most daring facets of raw materials such as oud, ambergris, and other animalic notes.
