The Underrated Male Elegance - "D&G The One" in Adult Form
Today I present my latest addition to my collection: "Pursuit" from Dunhill.
It starts fresh and fruity, subtly sweet with mandarin and a hint of cinnamon. Everything is quite modestly dosed. Unfortunately, the top and heart notes can only be smelled for a few minutes. It's a pity, as the opening is really delicious. It quickly transitions into a woody, dry, unsweetened base that defines the fragrance and makes it very masculine.
I find it has something of D&G The One; orange blossom there, mandarin here. It doesn't have that cardboard sweetness; it becomes a masculine, dry woodiness. Just The One in "adult" form.
The bottle is really well designed with its flat, long, and heavy build.
The packaging is also appealing with a kind of orange snake skin pattern.
The major Achilles' heel of the fragrance is clearly its sillage and longevity. Otherwise, it's a good masculine scent from Dunhill that is positioned in the mid-range.
