Nanu, no one has commented on Pursuit yet? Don't worry, it doesn't smell like a cigar. However, it does smell very masculine. It hardly gets more masculine than this. For a fragrance that was released in 2006, I find that quite special. I only discovered it in stores at the beginning of 2008.
Right after spraying, the top note reminds me of the smell of whisky-cola. After that, the scent becomes noticeably softer. I wouldn't even say sweeter. The fragrance remains distinctly bitter and masculine. The wood sets the tone. The mandarin and vanilla stay subtly in the background and are only present in traces. It's very nice that these two notes are not treated as generously as they often are elsewhere.
The scent is truly exceptional. However, I can imagine that some might find it too artificial.
I really enjoy wearing Pursuit, but only very rarely, because I feel too overdressed with it.
For me, Pursuit is what Davidoff couldn't quite achieve with Adventure. But it also vaguely reminds me of D&G Pour Homme. Less in the scent, but more in the character of the fragrance composition. So it could pass as D&G Pour Homme 2, 2006 or Intense Deluxe *g*
