Vanille-Ylang- Vanilla-Ylang by Durance en Provence
"Vanille-Ylang" by Durance en Provence is for me a different scent combination of a vanilla perfume that I have not encountered before.
This perfume has a moderately to strongly sweet vanilla upon application, which takes on a slightly powdery-creamy character by the base note!
Following the vanilla quite quickly is the intensely floral-sweet scent of the Ylang-Ylang plant, which somewhat reminds me of the smell of jasmine, and seems to have a subtle hint of banana as well!
This scent is quite sweet right after application, but becomes somewhat weaker, softer, and more pleasant over time..
Additionally, after a few minutes, a light scent of Nivea cream emerges, and "Vanille-Ylang" leaves a creamy, slightly powdery-silky skin feel!
Overall, this vanilla fragrance develops quite quickly, as after about 10 minutes the scent seems to "settle," undergoing no further changes!
The longevity is quite good, as "Vanille-Ylang" lasts for several hours on my skin!
I perceive the sillage as weak to moderately strong.
For spring, this perfume is still wearable, but for warm summer days, I find it too sweet-floral, especially in combination with the vanilla!
But ultimately, that is just my perception, a matter of taste in the end! :)
Funny that you mention bananas. I once tried to mix a banana scent (for soap) and used vanilla & ylang!
