Esperys E. Coudray 2007

Anyone who knows my collection knows that I own three E. Coudray fragrances and have one as a sample. Why this one has somehow sneaked by me without even saying "Hello" is a mystery.

It absolutely fits my preferences and is a truly wonderful little scent.

In the opening, it is fresh and fruity, becoming sweet and floral in the heart, without being extremely heavy. Individual flowers cannot be identified, but as a rose lover, I can certainly perceive the rose, which is nicely integrated with the other components. For my taste, it could be a bit less sweet, as it is a tad too much for me, but in terms of scent profile, it is beautiful.

The finish is rounded and soft, the vanilla does not stand out too much, but complements the cocoa wonderfully. Finally, some sweetness is taken out here, as it really is too much of a good thing.

Esperys is a very lovely floral scent that would definitely suit my taste if it were less sweet. The sweetness makes it feel overloaded, and I must admit that I couldn't stand it all day; I would probably get a headache.

Thank you very much, dear Very, for the sample, which is so beautifully decorated, and also for allowing me to get to know this fragrance. I think layered with Eau d'Hadrian or Ninfeo Mio, it would be absolutely my thing. I will try the former and then note my impressions afterwards.
