Vanille et Coco E. Coudray 1989

Absolute Iris Bomb
I have been thinking about getting this perfume for a long time. The descriptions sound wonderful. I love coconut and vanilla. Unfortunately, it smells like really old face powder. The iris is the star of the show here. The longevity is phenomenal. I sprayed it on my clothes in the afternoon, and it was still noticeable the next day. Unfortunately, my husband found it just as terrible as I did. Sadly, I will have to part with this old classic.

How different perceptions can be! I can't stand too much iris either, but this one actually doesn't smell like iris to me at all. I love the scent on my girlfriend.

This scent perfectly fits the time of its release and has hardly anything in common with the current vanilla/coconut fragrances.

I find the perfume house interesting, but this scent's coconut really got on my nerves.

Unfortunately, I didn't really get much of the coconut. What a shame. Ambre et Vanille sounds interesting from Coudray. I'll be in France this summer and might be able to test it. I won't buy any more blind.
