I really wanted to like this. The reviews had me intrigued as all the elements I wanted to try were highlighted - orange, slight spice, a green note. And Jean-Claude Ellena’s perfumes so often appeal to me. But.….
It starts on a lovely burnt orange note - but it’s so soft. And from there the whole scent (at least on me) is soft. It’s shy. Modest. Pleasant but nothing special. Even the dry down is quiet - a nice touch of slightly sweet orange over a musk base but distant and subdued.
I might even have been more excited by the dry down had it lasted longer but, as most reviewers point out, it fades. Even after three spritzes on my wrist, three hours on and it’s entirely gone.
All in all, disappointed. I won’t be adding this to my collection in a full size. Will save the rest of the travel until the summer and see if it acts differently in the heat and humidity.
