5th Avenue NYC Live Elizabeth Arden 2018

I bought this fragrance blind last week; there was no tester available, no idea why, because apart from the classic 5th Avenue and Royal, I usually don't like Elizabeth Arden's scents. But you don't have to understand a woman, as they often don't understand themselves.
Out of the store, opened the packaging, sprayed the scent on my wrist, slowly smelled it..... hmmmmmm, well, another floral scent, a bit piercing. Not really bad but also not special.
Afterwards, I went shopping in the city, and as I walked through the streets, the wind blew and I inhaled the scent again, I was more than surprised. I smell jasmine and a bit of citrus. Mandarin? The scent was no longer piercing and outside in the "cold" it was really nice and even a bit creamy. I will test it a few more times in winter; it puts me in a good mood. The rest of the day, I had a smile on my face and my wrist was often near my nose :-)
5th Avenue NYC Live is not a masterpiece, nor is it complicated or very special. But I like it, and I didn't really expect that.
