Cherry Blossom - Fragrance Reward for Unloved Duties

Soon it will be summer festival weekend at my father's home. The program is a mix of children's birthday party and shooting festival, and no one in the family is eager to participate. I can easily pass on the clown, the rationed grilled sausages with soggy toast, and the beer sponsored by the shooting club. The last few times, I didn’t even get a sausage, and the beer was warm and stale. Unfortunately, one cannot escape the whole thing, and no one wants to see my father sitting there without family or friends. So we usually go there with two or three people. As the saying goes, shared sorrow is half sorrow. This year, I drew the short straw; no one can make it that day. But I convinced my niece that a good deed is due, and she will pick me up and accompany me. I will repay her appropriately with fragrances and an invitation to dinner, but she doesn’t know that yet.

Since my niece works in nursing, she really likes fresh scents that are not too voluminous and overwhelming on the ward. So I went through my collection and thought about which fragrances might suit her. Close, Blooming Paradise, Sun Spirit, and Tendre Kiss are already ready here. And Green Tea Cherry Blossom would also appeal to her; I just used that one.

This fragrance was a successful blind buy due to the lovely comment from Alinamaria. The scent starts with a light citrus note from the bergamot, and I can even perceive the green tea, albeit only slightly; my nose doesn’t pick up on all tea fragrances. The scent is fresh, green, herbaceous, and cooling, slightly floral; this is how cherry blossoms smell, something I had no idea about until now. Green Tea Cherry Blossom is not at all sweet or playful, as the bottle and the pink color might suggest; perhaps the color is owed to the cherries and blossoms. In terms of scent, I would rather see the bottle in green. I don’t notice any significant changes until the scent fades; Cherry Blossom is rather linear for me.

The fragrance is ideal for hot temperatures, the sillage is not so weak, and the longevity for me is about 3 - 4 hours. The price is moderate, so reapplying shouldn’t be a problem. I’m not quite sure; it could also be something for men, but the bottle might deter them.

Hmm, should I give it to my niece as well? No, I don’t think so, but I have 100 ml, so I can generously decant some.

So far, I've skipped the Cherry because I thought it would be too sweet - but if it's a more tart cherry scent, I might actually like it?
Care events... especially for seniors who might be a bit forgetful, these community gatherings are incredibly important - even if they remind us of kindergarten.

The motto "Close your eyes and get through it" is sometimes the only thing that helps you through events like these. But I think it's great that you're not leaving your old man alone! I don't know the scent, but your comment about it is once again fantastic!

Oh dear, why does everyone always want to entertain old people, and like that! Just the thought of it is dreadful. But the scent and the comment seem great!

I only had the Green Tea Tropical so far and passed it on right away. Maybe it will turn out to be nicer than you’re fearing right now. I hope so!

I really have to finally test this scent after your lovely comment. I think it's such a sweet gesture to think of your niece while going to an event you don't like! Sympathy trophy for you!

A scent called Green Tea that looks pink seems suspicious to me, even if it’s supposed to have Cherry Blossom in it. :)))

Ha, I would just bring a cooler with cold beer myself... would your dad like that? Your niece will definitely love the scent, great idea!

Very good comment that describes the scent very accurately. I bought it and then gifted it again because I didn't really like it. I found the name and packaging very pretty. I find Green Tea to be clearer and more direct.
Daughter trophy.

...there are plenty of such mandatory events even without a nursing home...unfortunately.

That's right, I feel the same way about it. Spotlessly clean and dry-tea floral. A very good, refreshing counterpoint to your niece's care work at the home. I really like your first paragraph. It matches my impressions... Unfortunately :-/
