"Diamonds are forever"

I think this statement does justice to the fragrance and the clear beauty
of Elizabeth Taylor's just about perfectly.
Like her eyes, dark violet blue, infinitely deep and clear.
A little sad, longing, with restrained coolness.
This is how I perceive this soft, full dream.
The white Amazon lily, also called heart chalice, comes with little
aldehyde, nothing overwhelms you. Neroli, so orangey and good bergamot :)
rises to my nose. But immediately, there they are, the tuberoses... I love tuberoses.
I know that it is from them that the melancholy makes me feel the scent.
A large, very full bouquet of flowers (iris, also violet! Rose, beautiful) perfectly balanced and very round.
I have no idea why, I smell heaps of peach and clove???
The heart note presents itself to me wonderfully fruity, floral, and friendly, not sweet.
Ylang Ylang pushes a bit forward here!
Briefly, only briefly, soft warmth spreads, but it doesn't linger long.
The patchouli, and there is quite a bit of it in there... I love patchouli :D:D:D, gives the fragrance
a considerable coolness. It becomes mossy, woody, a bit bitter almost!!
Primarily in the base, for me, are patchouli and sandalwood.
Overall, the scent remains very focused on one point, the heart note always
present!! Proud, self-assured, opulent, and very sensual but not catty :D:D:D
Lasts forever and longer! I wouldn't just wear it to balls.
It fits wonderfully on a summer evening, with a glass of wine in nice company.
A very carefully crafted, beautiful fragrance, something special.
Not old-fashioned!!! Just a wonderful... "classic"... almost modern for that.
It somewhat reminds me of the unreformulated "Must de Cartier" the perfume.

I must add… in my
description, it is the pure perfume… nothing scratches here :-)
and not reformulated. So a little treasure;-)
I thank you very much for this sparkling gem in my hands
dear "Medusa00" :-)... You simply have taste and understand
how to bring joy!

Hello Lilienfeld, your wonderful comments have now convinced me to buy the EDT... I'm quite disappointed; from what I've read elsewhere, it seems to have been poorly reformulated. Do you happen to know the latest EDT version and can you confirm the big difference? It doesn't smell like my beloved Must de Cartier at all :(
It smells more like RedDoor with stuffy soap and less tuberose.. :D
Thanks a lot and best regards!

Yes, it's in a class of its own, the perfume version.
