Cold, woody, aromatic rose fougere, this composition oozes quality. Made not to wow, yet puts many of it's modern contemporaries to shame.

Is the rose note really that present? Over on The Other Site there are multiple reviews saying that there's basically no rose, and the Ungaro website for this fragrance doesn't mention rose at all.

It's certainly there, but it isn't the star of the show. It blends with the woody molecules and cold musk; the time I spent with it reminded me heavily of dior homme 2020 that's smoother and less spicy/woody with a backdrop of rose petals.
