Vulcano Hierá

It was beautiful in Florence! The city has the typical dolce farniente, which I sometimes wish for in Germany. In terms of fragrance, Florence is also well-equipped. At almost every corner, there are jasmine bushes that spread their aura even several streets away. An unparalleled scent experience. I also found the inner gardens beautiful, which you could mostly only view behind locked gates. There was almost no vegetation between the Florentine alleys. The jasmine bushes made the old streets into a picturesque scene.

There were also perfumeries, just two streets away from the hotel. 80% mainstream, 20% niche. At least. And unknown brands, jackpot! Among them is Eolie Parfums!

Eolie has released 7 fragrances. Hierá is dedicated to the volcano and volcanic island of the same name, hence the name. Unfortunately, the years of release are not mentioned on the website. In fact, there is hardly any information available about this company. Intentional?
Well, I haven't tested all 7, but Hierá! The nice thing: each of the fragrances in the range has a 25% perfume concentration. You can definitely tell. Because for a fresh scent without significant base notes, it has an exceptionally good longevity. I'm talking about around 6 hours with 3 sprays. The fragrances are only available in a 100 ml bottle, unfortunately! Rectangular shapes are simply unwieldy and too large for handbag carriers.

Hierá is a skin caresser. A fundamentally fresh and summery, yes, also unisex scent. Citrusy top notes, warm heart notes, milky citrus-warm base. Bergamot and the other citrus notes remain present even in the base. Imagine making a smoothie from grapefruit, lemon, and bergamot. It initially tightens everything up! But it has a life-extending effect (just think about how bananas drizzled with lemon juice do not oxidize/tarnish). This is one of the characteristics of Hierá. So we stay young ;-)

The more interesting aspect is the coconut note, which is already present in the top note, even though it is not listed in the pyramid. Either not specified by the manufacturer or the coconut arises from the combination of heliotrope, caramel, and milk. The coconut note does the same as the bergamot and catapults you to the Caribbean. The coconut note is present from start to finish. I just say "Virgin Island Water" by Creed!!!

Stop!! Please don't jump to conclusions. Virgin Island Water has a miserable longevity for me, is woodier, while Hierá is clearly more citrusy, floral, warmer, and a bit sweeter. Although both have nearly the same top notes, they develop in the same direction. If someone, for example, loves Aqua Universalis Forte by MFK but finds it too expensive, they should check out Hierá.

For those interested, I am happy to offer a sample. Otherwise, it can be purchased from the official website.

In summary: A crowd-pleaser for both men and women, leaning towards floral cologne with coconut, good longevity, pleasant sillage & totally niche!
