From ugly scents in beautiful bottles…
…but also the other way around, many can attest to that. Here’s what I can contribute today:
By chance, I found four of these really very pretty “planet” bottles while browsing on eBay, and since I was apparently the only one interested in them, I can now call them my own, and now I have the dilemma...no comments, no photos, no reviews...Well then, I’ll get started:
First, I’m happy and take a few test photos, and of course, one cannot resist taking a little spritz of the fragrance from the bottle. As I suspected: The bottles are much prettier than the contents.
This one reminds me of “Mini Sexy” by my “friend” Ulric (I’ve mentioned my dear Ulric several times before, and it should be well known by now what I think of the fragrance creations bearing his name....)
Setting aside the fact that there’s likely a lot of synthetic vanilla underscoring the iris, I also think I can detect licorice, really sugary sweet licorice, in the mix. The scent starts off like that, not with a cautiously fresh bergamot breeze or something similar, but it immediately hits you with this dreadful mixture from the left and right. If anyone should ever have the pleasure of experiencing this fragrance: Beware, take cover while testing...always be cautious...
For me, once again, a “headache candidate”.
Also, yesterday I had already spritzed a sample here and there and found that the longevity is indeed enormous even with the smallest spritz. The sillage, when sprayed generously, for example, in the hair, could also annoy some bystanders.
So I am really very proud of my bargain due to the very eye-catching bottles, and in this case, I was only after these. The fragrance can be safely forgotten, which is unfortunately made difficult - even several hours after spraying - given the aforementioned longevity.
It’s a shame what “ugly” scents can hide in such beautiful bottles.
