Unfortunately a synthetic bomb
I only ordered the Essential Parfums Discovery Set because of Bois Imperial. Since I really like Zarko The Muse, I was hoping that Bois Impérial might be for me (so I'm open to synthetics).
Sprayed it on my hand in the evening and liked it. Hmmm has something of fresh laundry about it, I thought... Almost ordered the large bottle.
Ok, so this morning before work I sprayed a few drops on my hair, one on the back of my hand and two on my décolleté. A big mistake! Agikalawood (in combination with Petalia?) is very loud and assertive here. I can't detect the pepper, grapefruit and basil. After about 2 hours the scent started to be so annoying... I can smell a pungent disinfectant with a soapy undertone throughout. My colleague at work, who had a cold, tested it on the back of her hand and wanted to get rid of it. Desperation set in and all attempts to wash it off failed. After work, I drove home with the window open and tried to breathe through my mouth... Aggressiveness spread. Well, all plans for after work were scrapped, I just wanted to get home to get rid of the stuff!
At home, I experimented with scrubs and hand wash paste, blow-dried my hair and sprayed it with a strong amber fragrance... And now I'm sitting here and still smelling it every time I move...
Longevity and sillage are bombastic, if you like the full oomph of synthetics, you will certainly be happy with this (especially at the price) - I will not.
So now I have to wash my hair and take a bath!

oh yes, I can relate and I only sprayed ONE spritz on the back of my hand. I'm also glad I only have one sample from the Discovery set. Durability SUPEr ..but unfortunately not super because I don't like it at all. It makes me really sick ..it's so pungent.

I also find the scent worse up close than if you only get a whiff every now and then. Two sprays are enough for me. Maybe try another small dose?
