Since you can hardly avoid the scent these days and it is rated very positively in many reviews, I simply had to test it myself.
In my trusted perfumery, I purchased a 10ml variant, which I was able to test extensively over several days.
So now to the scent:
Wood. Soap. A bit of pepper. A light, almost metallic grapefruit. Sounds familiar. Smells like a serious middle-aged man. In a shirt without a jacket.
Clean? Yes. Modern? Yes. Special? Not really.
At first glance, not bad, but by no means what I expected (perhaps also hoped for). It is pleasant and suitable for everyday use, with a slight sterile note to it. The very light grapefruit disappears quickly. I understand why many people like the scent. It really does nothing wrong. I wear it and feel fresh. Like I’m preparing for my 8-hour office shift. It works because it has to. Like a white room without decor.
Everyone has their preferences. For me, a scent needs character. It should match my mood or evoke feelings. Unfortunately, it lacks that certain "something" for me. Even after several days.
As a daily scent, it can certainly be used and will be positively received by the masses. Longevity is quite okay 7/10. Sillage no more than 7/10.
Well described. But you could also say it's like a blank sheet of paper. The wearer has to add the color and the rest. I actually like it for that reason, because its "neutrality" (while still being recognizable as a fragrance) leaves room for personality and doesn't overwhelm.
I can totally understand! For me, my fragrance should highlight my personality or mood. Unfortunately, this scent feels "naked" and "empty" to me. I'm glad you like it, though!
...I’ve also tested the scent extensively. **Like a white room without decor > sterile <
That’s exactly how it smells!!!
And every now and then, I need that!
