For a long time, that was THE scent for "real" men for me. Although I had it myself too. 😁

It really has its charm, but it needs warm temperatures.

For "cologne" standards at least :-)

It's not for me anymore. I just tried it again recently. The bitter green-herb soap drives me crazy ;)

I can totally understand that. I first rated it an 8.5, then an 8, and now I'm back to 8.5. Sometimes it really hits me, and other times not so much. I think it depends on the weather.

In sunlight, it really shines, just like in my retest. Before that, it was an 8. A leathery base as a contrast would be nicer, though.

A leathery base would really enhance it for more complexity and warmth. However, with the cool notes, it will definitely work well in summer.

Great scent, don't let the "Cologne" label throw you off! The Americans often go for understatement, just look at some of Aramis's offerings!!

I always like lemon best in an animalistic way! This one has passed me by so far.
Translated · Show originalShow translation
Eggi37Eggi37 10 months ago
It definitely has its charm, thanks to the depth as a vintage version. But it's a bit too cool and bitter for me, even though it becomes softer and warmer later on.

Vintage version
Gives me more of a 70s vibe because of its green color. Just with 80s power, or maybe it’s the American interpretation of a cologne.
The scent is primarily soapy, citrusy, and herbaceous with a lot of moss. In the background, there’s a hint of animalic depth. The strong citrus makes it feel like an animalic, meaty lemon.
Overall, it’s too bitter-green for me.
Translated · Show originalShow translation
Eggi37Eggi37 10 months ago
A hint of animalic is always good :-)
I see it at 8 in the beginning and around 8+ in the base.
