Luca Turin: "It frightens the horses"
Honey-sweet gum Tuberose and
the overripe bananas of Ylang Ylang
frighten me too.

Oh, I won't be able to handle the bubblegum tuberose...

A test, however, would be intriguing.

Gum, that's exactly what I smelled too. Not a bad scent, but EL has nicer ones.

I know the EdP: it might be better.

That's not really my thing; I could go for the Youth-Dew instead.

Yes, this remark (written by Tania Sanchez, but of course printed in the legendary guide) is often quoted. I can't agree with it at all... Spellbound has always been and still is a fantastic perfume for me.

Spellbound passed me by. But there are hardly any wallflowers among the Lauders.

Haha! I took it on too... I find the old version very intense but nice.

Few people know this, but horses are indeed very sensitive to smells ;-)
I'm not familiar with the scent, but apparently, I haven't missed much.

Still, the syrupy, spicy floral sweetness has its charm.
By the way, I borrowed that quote from Andrula ("Spellbound (2015)").
