A surprise from the Middle East
If Estiara Black Stag is the same juice as Armaf Tres Nuit (a clone attempt to Green Irish Tweed), it is somewhat cheaper. In this case "somewhat" means half the price. Sterling Perfumes owns both Armaf and Estiara so it's quite possible that the juice is the same... and the Estiara Frag seems to be a lot better deal.
I also consider Estiara Black Stag to be a better EDT than Estiara White Stag (a clone attempt to Virgin Island Water).
The fragrance opens quite strong and pleasant with iris, lemon and verbena. A little time later you notice a growing violet note. I kind of detect a very faint lavender and no spices at all. This is a very pleasant phase and it lasts for an hour or so.
While you still notice the fainting iris, verbena and citrus notes (as well the still strong violet), you do feel the growing dry out notes of grey amber and sandalwood.
After one hour and a half the opening and heart notes are faint and you get mostly the pleasant bottom notes.
Longevity is average and the sillage is bellow average. You need to respray at least once for an usage of 8 hours. If you spray your clothes you will get a better performance and may avoid the respray.
In summary, it is a decent frag, a bit outdated but nevertheless agreable, It's quite versatile and you may wear it at anytime and anyplace. Don't expect many or even a few compliments. You will smell good but will not stand out.
The scent is similar to the Creed counterpart. Creed GIT is also a so so performer in what concerns sillage, and the longevity is not brilliant either. I don't consider GIT to be a compliment magnet as well. Between the two frags I would consider to buy... none of them again. But if you want to feel the GIT vibe sometimes... well the Estiara frag costs 20 times less.
My rates for Estiara Black Stag:
Scent:..........................6.0
Longevity:...................6.5
Sillage:........................4.0
Versatility:..................8.5
Uniqueness:...............6.0
Quality:.......................6.0
Presentation:.............7.0
Price:...........................8.0
Average:....................6.60 / 10,00
Edit: My 100 ml Estiara Black Stag costed me 10 Euros.
