Cool Roses in Winter
I love to stroll through our flea market, not least because my fragrance dealer Andreas runs his lavish perfume stand there.

There, I have already scored quite a few treasures - both new items and well-known classics.
Or also fragrances that are no longer available in stores.

His exclusive stand is a magnet for fragrance enthusiasts - like me.

So, Andreas pointed me towards Laura Rose, whose bottle had a tiny flaw - at a fabulously low price.
A small imperfection doesn't bother me, so I gladly took Rose home.

But at home, with the first spray, I was very grateful to him.
The scent starts citrusy cool - and bright like the winter sun shining in the sky.
The roses also have an appealing coolness - accompanied by sweet candied orange.
A very unusual combination.
The freesia appears softly floral.
Delicate patchouli gives the fragrance depth and stability.

A harmonious, balanced scent that I now wear almost daily.
Its special pleasant cool statement really appeals to me.

I will definitely repurchase it.

Spring Beginning
I really like Laura Rosé.
The scent fits perfectly into spring.

Laura Rosé starts fresh and rosy, transitioning from a sugary orange to a clean creaminess. The sweet orange is really well done in Laura Rosé and dominates the fragrance in the first hour. Later, additional sugary fruits come into play. I think this is what is meant by the term "Panettone" in the pyramid. Panettone is a cake enriched with candied fruits and raisins. Nothing here smells like cake, but a candied, fruity sweetness is definitely noticeable. But not too sugary. The scent is pleasantly sweet. The sweetness is nicely balanced by the rose. I imagine the rose in Laura Rosé to be pink. It still has green, fresh elements attached.

Later, patchouli enters as a slight understatement to the white, clean musk. It starts off quite innocently and cleanly, then develops a slightly animalistic quality in the base.
The longevity is moderate at around eight hours. The sillage is well noticeable but not overly strong.

The scent is simply friendly and uplifting. Laura Rosé is a cheerful fragrance for me. The orange and the rose contribute to this.
It fits perfectly with the first warm rays of sunshine. On days when one enjoys the first ice cream at the café after the dark winter days and takes walks in the sun again, Laura Rosé is exactly the right choice. Life becomes brighter, sunnier, and simply friendlier again.

It is like a delicate, transparent, softly sweet, and rosy veil that gently envelops me.

Cuticula iniuria
I have owned the original blue Laura almost continuously since the mid-90s. As I am a big fan of it and also greatly admire the works of the Biagotti house, I bought Laura Rosé blind.
At first, I liked it during the first test. Then it ended up in the closet and saw no daylight for a long time. When its outraged calls became louder, my big heart took pity, and the pink Laura was allowed to approach me. Hm. And then the disappointment was great...

Laura Rosé simply smelled unremarkable. Floral-fruity-something. PERIOD.
Great. It drifts off into olfactory insignificance.

The little bottle disappeared back into the closet. It no longer dared to call out to me in outrage, as I was really angry. It had coldly and sneakily made me like it, and then, PUFF, came the bitter reality.

During my big decluttering campaign, Laura Rosé logically and unsurprisingly had to be one of those that had to go. My mother-in-law took it in. And now we come to the injustice announced in the title: on her, the stuff smells HEAVENLY!!! A slightly fruity, subtle floral cloud surrounds her, which then smells very interestingly bitter, somewhat soapy, but still warm. Well. On my skin, the stuff smells like some junk for €1.49. Thank you very much...

Nasty skin. Unfair. Mean. Sneaky. Cruel. I am outraged.

Now it is hard for me to rate Laura Rosé. Since I am somewhat hurt and sulking about how it comes across on me, I would easily give it 0%, and I would do so with a mean laugh. Since it can apparently smell completely different on others, I must possess the professional maturity to take that into account in my judgment... I am being quite pragmatic and shutting off any feelings and calculating the average mathematically. (0 + 100) divided by 2 = 50. There.

So: test the scent on yourself. If you like clean, soapy fragrances with floral and fruity accords and are lucky enough to have the right skin, then pink Laura is for you. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you. ;)

PS: If my little Latin knowledge from school is even more rusty than I fear and I have written complete nonsense up there, feel free to come with a red pen. To be honest, I didn’t pay much attention during Latin class - our teacher always brought cake for us... ;)

Gourmandish
Actually a beautiful fragrance that is somewhat unfairly treated as a stepchild here. I personally like it. Apart from the bottle, it has nothing in common with the classic blue Laura.

Laura Rosé starts off very floral and rosy, then quickly develops into the gourmand territory for me. Panettone? Oh yes, you can really smell it. You don't smell like an entire Christmas cake, but it's still tempting to bite into :-). You can also smell the musk well, but definitely not the patchouli.

The gourmand aspect fits perfectly into my preference, but the rose does not. Unfortunately. Still, it's an interesting, beautiful fragrance that suits romantic women from their mid-20s onwards, without age restrictions.

The rose doesn't take center stage here: green-sweet-citrusy-fruity-spicy-peppery-floral with hints of rose-gourmand thanks to sweetened vanilla.

Laura Rose - Spring scent, warm and cozy. But also tangy and zesty. Adapts very well to the skin.
