Entrepreneurial Scent
Got it for almost nothing from the discounters, just to see what FUBU came up with. I shouldn't have been surprised to find it a more than decent scent. Almost everything this guy does turns to gold. FUBU is run by Daymond John on the TV show Shark Tank, a billionaire who funds entrepreneurs of every stripe and gender. His only critieria? Quality. Thus this perfume. It's a really delightful fruity-floral with a wood/musk base and doesn't smell like every woody/fruity/floral on the block. It manages to be fresh, floral and involving all at once.. Though it's quite pleasant, Plush is not a heavy scent, but I've had it on for about 5 hours and it's still there. Weirdly interesting bottle. I spent time trying to figure out how perfume gets from the glass bottle to the gold sprayer on the right. The mechanics must be hidden in the black base. Not curious enough to risk damaging the bottle by taking it apart because this is going to get more than average use.

p.s. 6/15/16
Btw, found out FUBU (For Us, By Us) was founded when mainstream clothiers refused to design for the emerging Hip Hop market. What a mistake! Daymond John stepped in and that's how he made his multimillions. Today via Shark Tank and other platforms, he invests in entrepreneurs of every sort.

YSL Cinema for the office
FUBU Plush is in my favorite category of good office perfumes for women - floral woody musk. To me, the almond blossom is most prominent. Plush is most similar to YSL Cinema, but with the volume turned way down and a less glitzy attitude. It lasts all day and, after a couple of hours, settles into a soft vanillic scent reminiscent of rice pudding. Although fruits are listed in the notes, it doesn't have the fruity cast that Kenzo Amour sometimes does.

Unfortunately, this thoroughly pleasant scent has been handicapped in two ways: its bottle and the name of its company. The bottle is simply hideous, making me think of something like pepper spray to be used for self-defense. The company, FUBU, was founded on ideals of black (African-American) empowerment and stands for "For Us, By Us." As a result, I'm sure that at least some people of other racial groups felt that they were being disinvited from buying it.

Plush is available very cheaply from US discounters - I think I bought a 100 ml bottle a few months ago for $12 US online.
