yankee candle vampire

This feels like an elevated, old lady version of bath and body work's "vampire blood." This perfume has been on my wishlist for a very, very long time because of its intriguing notes... and it shouldn't have. For the story it gives, I wish it was far more metallic with a undertone of berry, but instead I have been turned into a hopeless blackberry pie by a wine-drunk Lestat de Lioncourt. I don't even smell the citrus, nor the clove, and I am instead hit in the face with so much blackberry and wine it smells like the strongest old-lady rose scent if I don't think about it and let the sickening effect of being NEAR this fragrance take over. THAT BEING SAID. It is vampiric. Deep, berry notes in fragrances have always read vampiric to me, so perhaps it is just personal opinion, but it does evoke a certain darkness and make me want to wear a fancy black cloak and speak in a distinctly romanian accent. But in a wine mom way.

If you aren't sensitive to sweet berry notes, though, and you enjoy it... this may be your signature scent. It is very, VERY strong and nearly headache inducing, so plan on diluting it if you get the oil rollerball. Long lasting to the point you are annoyed with it. Not complex like it claims to be. Came leaking slightly, so... be forewarned. For me, a 3/5 stars... but im being nice.
