Neither green nor the fruit of the lemon
I’m currently on a bio trip and testing some of the scents from Farfalla. For me, these have many parallels in their overall concept with the often somewhat medicinal ethereal scents of Annick Goutal.
So far, I like Femme sauvage the best. In the opening, there’s a brief hint of something green and something very alcoholic, which is shortly replaced by the somewhat sweet and rotten scent of neroli. In the transition to the heart note, the lemon appears, but the peel, not the fruit. This scent accord has a slightly biting medicinal quality and is softened after a while by the slightly soapy sandalwood, which, together with the iris and pepper, dances around the sweet resinousness of angelica. I personally find the base note with its dark spicy sweetness very successful, but the top and heart notes unfortunately cannot keep up. I could have done without the neroli note at the end of the top note, but it didn’t last too long. The base note is very lasting, but close to the skin. Overall, a quite nice and unusual scent.

I have to add: After an hour, I can smell a pleasant, somehow neutral base up close, but unfortunately, I can't define it - no vanilla, no tonka bean, no wood. Unfortunately, this base disappears after about 15 minutes, which is a shame.

Great description, Markyta! I can clearly and long-lastingly smell ... Moroccan mint! The scent dominates everything else. Refreshing and delicious.

Interesting. My favorite Farfalla scents are Shandrani and Swan.
