Vetiver and incense? Actually a relatively rare combination, I think. Why, I don't know. Here it is definitely demonstrated that these two fragrance materials, which I already find very beautiful on their own, can harmonize wonderfully. Nothing really stands out; I have to concentrate almost to know whether I perceive more vetiver or more incense. We have a wonderfully green and somewhat creaky vetiver here, carried by the woody-burning incense - in return, the vetiver makes the incense appear pleasantly light. No dark smoke clouds, but a constantly prevailing mist.
That's probably just due to the vetiver-cedarwood base. Otherwise, I find the scents quite contrasting. At first, I think the VI is definitely more rugged, and in the base, it's softer and sweeter.
