an open horse-drawn carriage instead of the expected bolide
My preference for the "fast red racers" from Maranello is well known.
That's why I often browse through the men's fragrances to sniff out how many horsepower might be packed into the red and black flacons.
Today, I was eyeing the shower gels on offer at Müller; but then I thought about my not-so-small stock here and dropped the idea.
And yet, I was looking for a test flacon and found "Scuderia Ferrari - Forte": the excitement grew!
"Forte" sounds promising: I could already hear the noise in the pit lane at the Formula 1 races.
I discovered a very friendly, fruity-fresh scent that I could really enjoy as a light summer refreshment, e.g. after sports.
The fruity mix that greets me is original: pineapple and apple go quite well together, and the lemon adds a certain freshness kick!
Cinnamon, plum, and orange blossom form an ensemble that is delightful on its own.
Together with the fresh-fruity entrée, an unusual overall note emerges: refreshing fruits complemented by warm nuances.
Therefore, the expected tingling - even in the nose - is absent.
The base pleasantly rounds off this fragrance: the warm, sensuous vanilla and a pleasant patchouli note blend well with the herb-spicy cedar note.
All this results in a likable-fresh summer blend that is almost a bit too delicate and fine for a pure men's fragrance.
As a refreshing in-between, "Scuderia Ferrari - Forte" is very welcome to me.
Longevity and sillage correspond to an eau de toilette; frequent re-spraying is certainly not unwelcome. Especially on very warm summer days.
The flacons are all uninspired: it's a pity, really, because the bodies of the vehicles are quite different. Probably, the concentrated creativity ends up there.
Thus, the expectation of a fragrance bolide, further supported by the name addition "Forte," is not fulfilled here.
This Ferrari is more like a wonderfully light carriage, pulled by content little horses trotting along, while the sunshade flutters amusingly in the breeze.
So it is quite possible that this somewhat leisurely Ferrari will find a parking spot with me.

And in the neighboring town of Scarperia, there are sharper things!
(THE knife town)
So it must be "Forte": the comment definitely gives off a summery vibe.
Horse-and-carriage trophy!
