“Cinnambre” - it sounds like a combination of “Cinnamon” and “Ambre.” A cinnamon amber scent? Exactly my type!
The pyramid, however, suggested a more tropical-sweet-heavy floral fragrance. That can be good... but sometimes it can also be a bit cloying.
In the souk, I blindly jumped at a bottle offer. Bingo! The name is spot on!
“Cinnambre” is honey-sweet amber mixed with a bit of cinnamon. I also think I can detect a fireplace in the background. A late afternoon in the pre-Christmas season, after a short walk in the foggy, cold late autumn landscape, sitting with mulled wine and a few cinnamon stars by the tiled stove... Ah, those are just fantasies again! (I don’t have such a stove, and a friend hardly uses hers. And who among us working folks has time for walks?) But the scent fits this image.
Because I can’t recognize any of the mentioned flowers - tuberose, jasmine, and ylang. However, I can hardly detect any of the citrus notes in the opening. Vanilla is definitely in there.
This is another perfume for the “Christmas fan faction” among us! Always on the lookout for scents that capture the mood and fragrance atmosphere of this time - Christmas markets, cookies and gingerbread, mulled wine, fireplace... For me, it was a lucky find!
