Dark is the Night.

There is a lot in here that I can't pick out individually.

Amaryllis has something, and I'm currently considering whether I like it, even though it doesn't really fall into my fragrance direction. It must be the maritime notes that give it a slightly aquatic touch.

It starts off medicinally bitter but quickly becomes more pleasant and floral.

What captivates me about this scent are the thoughts it evokes. I think of a summer night by the sea after the rain, when warm salty air surrounds me. Perhaps I'm walking through the pine forest near the beach and smelling damp earth, resinous bark, wild herbs, and forest flowers.

The scent is dark, slightly herbal due to myrrh, and smoky. But it is also sweet and delicate. It truly smells like nature to me. I have never experienced a fragrance that evokes such associations.

Usually, people say a perfume has a nice scent or not. That can't be said here.
For me personally, it is not a beautiful scent in the sense of a perfume, but this scent is life and somehow symbolizes freedom and adventure.

You can see, it is hard to describe; Amaryllis is more of a feeling.
I would describe it as unisex, and it is something very special.

Addendum: Amaryllis later became stronger and is thus a very long-lasting scent with a strong aura. Unfortunately, it then becomes greener and more herbal, which soon annoys me with one note.

Amaryllis definitely doesn't smell delicate, enchanting, or like lilies. It leans more towards a green, grassy scent later on.

Amaryllis = Star Lily (Hippeastrum) - doesn't smell.
Amaryllis belladonna = Belladonna Lily - has a delicate and enchanting scent, lilac-like.

I will definitely give it a try! ,°-)

No idea. I don't think so. But which flowers still smell today, unless they're in the garden or growing wild?
When I smell store-bought bouquets, they don't smell like anything anymore.
