Saffron scents are gourmand and at the same time strangely woody, human, and also have a sandy texture, sweet yet hearty. A very fine and delicious spice that I would love to see used more often in perfumes. I like this exotic yet reliable touch - 1001 Nights meets grandma's old baking recipe.

"Envoutant" is unmistakably a sandy-creamy saffron gigolo, additionally supported by a sensual Oriental rose. Plus oud is at least mentioned. So, an Arabic powerhouse nose-teaser? Not quite. Because despite the Arabic awakening, it comes across as down-to-earth and rather subtle. Like grandma's sandcake baked in the baklava shop around the corner from the enchanting Aishe. Spicy, noble, from a good house. Patchouli and vanilla soften this cake. Luckily, it’s never cloyingly sweet or sticky. This is high perfumery and the opposite of the cacophony called fragrance pyramids up there. Soothing. Confident. Sexy. Very, very fine. Unless you can't stand saffron.

Bottle: fits well in the hand despite many edges.
Sillage: creamy, sandy, rosy, and never tiresome.
Longevity: survived sports and almost showers - 9 hours.

Conclusion: a saffron-rose desert queen that one can easily fall for. Irresistibly elegant!
