Candied citrus and lots of greens

Voile Confit (candied veil) sounds like the short summary of everything I want from a perfume, as I love gourmands, but also fluffy and airy scents. Unfortunately, this is not really what I imagine when I think of a veil of sweetness around me.

The scent starts citrusy, green and fresh, almost a little masculine leaning like an old-fashioned pine cologne. It's also quite sweet, but more in a powdered sugar way than caramel and vanilla. I can single out the zingy, bittersweet notes of ginger and blood orange, which is nice. But the overall composition seems chaotic to me.

Over the time the scent changes significantly. Ambery notes come out in the drydown. I can smell patchouli and the coniferous balsam fir, but also something resinous beyond that.
The floral notes of the heart are absent to my nose all the time.
Only the final remains of the scent on my sweater the next day come closer to my expectations. They have a creamy, sweet and fresh scent of sugared citruses with hints of vanilla and musk. Not impressive enough to wait that long though.

The green bottle color is quite fitting for this, it evokes shades of green and a cool lemony yellow.
I don't hate this, but I find it a little abrasive and unbalanced. Even though it has its moments, it's clearly not for me.
