It has something noble, elegant......

On the skin

The beginning:

A dry, slightly oriental cumin note. This is interwoven with a rather dark floral neroli accord. The initial impression feels very round and homogeneous.

The progression:

It gradually becomes a bit earthier, spicier, darker, deeper. Hints of honey cake? Of printen? In the background hovers a delicate orangey bitter note (orange peel / perfumer Beatrice Cointreau!!!) The scent of a nice older gentleman. In my perception, absolutely homogeneous and very harmoniously balanced. After a while, the fragrance seems to gray a bit and somehow become brighter and spicier. I think that is the frankincense. It enriches the scent profile, almost pulling it apart and adding more volume. The fragrance gains even more depth.

The end:

As the scent fades, it seemingly becomes a bit woodier. There comes a hint of a sour, tar-like note. (Charred/toasted wooden barrels? Rum? Cognac?). Smells good.... very good.
In a figurative sense, I would say the scent thickens in its viscosity. It becomes denser and somehow creamier. There is nothing directly sweet, but very substantial.

- Despite everything, quite close to the body and never intrusive.
- Soft, protective, calming, unexcited.
- Nothing annoying, fashionable, trendy.

Conclusion:
I think it will be too unspectacular for many. I like it very much. The bottle is heavy and high-quality. The longevity is around 8 hours and the price is reasonable.

... oh, I almost forgot..... no oud, no rose.

For some reason, I rated this Frapin so poorly, and that doesn't match my love for Frapin at all, but there must have been something. I should really test it again. Maybe I still have the sample.
