Do orchids really smell like this? And shouldn't I know that since it's my girlfriend's favorite flower? And does it even smell floral? Do I know this from somewhere? Doesn't it smell a bit like Terre d'Hermes? Or even Aventus? Could this really be from my beloved geniuses behind L'Humaniste? Is Frapin letting me down? Does the world really need another copy of those bestsellers? And does my girlfriend like the scent?
Many questions run through my mind with this tricky orchid man. A name that confuses & fits only a little, familiar scent nuances, little Frapin feeling. And yet a good perfume, a stylish everyday scent. A mix of the dirty Declaration orange, Icon's pencil-like pepperiness & Aventus' pineapple power & musk base. Not a bad mix, should actually be very well received, especially by women. And even more so if you don't know the originals inside & out & appreciate the Frapin quality & presentation delivered here. In the dry down, even a bit leathery & more masculine than its counterparts - and that with this floral name ;) Aventus Extreme indeed & that's certainly not bad ;)
Bottle: I really like the chunky bottles from Frapin. Sillage: suitable for all kinds of everyday life & warmer leisure. Longevity: 7-8 hours - plays in the league of its role models.
Conclusion: one is used to better & especially more independent offerings from Frapin - nevertheless, this masculine mix of two milestones (TdH + Aventus) is pleasantly wearable & very nice. Nothing more, nothing less. Good price/performance ratio, a successful alternative & worthy of a signature. But he has as much to do with boxes as the Pope on vacation.
