Desert wind? What pink powder desert has that smell?

Yesterday my eagerly awaited package from Mrs. Toni arrived.

I had blindly ordered the "Desert Wind". In this case a complete blind flight, because except for the notes, you couldn't read much about it on the net - even here, there is no direct rating. Of course I noticed during my search that Mrs. Toni's Desert Wind is probably similar to Mr. Lehmann's Desert Wind (I'll check that, because I already contacted Mr. Lehmann by email and ordered Desert Wind there as well - no answer so far - maybe there will be a parcel every day like some of you here? ;-))

And now for the desert wind:
Well, to be honest, I had imagined something different when I gave the name. Nature-based? Kind of dry-sandy? Shimmering heat?

And also the notes here: Lemon? Not with me - not a piece of citrus. Tonka bean? Well, maybe she makes this powdery note - but it's not the Tonka Bean I know, which is kind of sweet and tart in Waldmeister/Vanilla - no, this one is just powder. Rose and lavender. Yeah, well, that's what I smell in the end:
A mixture of the blue Nivea and the Felce Azzura powder - Nix desert wind.

A classic powdery note, with rose and lavender so attenuated as notes that you only notice their light interplay - but not a note in itself.

About the Sillage: would say, hardly there - I smell myself - but for others I think not perceptible
On durability: not sooooo bad for an EDC. I sprayed it on this morning - about 6 o'clock - and now it's still perceptibly there. But more like the "veil an expensive body lotion"

Conclusion:
would I have bought the fragrance for the 60 euros if I had known all that? No. My expectations were different - I wanted desert wind, not powder puff.

Why did I order from Lehmann if desert wind could not meet my expectations? Because desert wind for the price at Lehmann - should it really be the same EDC - is really a nice "cultivated" scent. You can spray it on from time to time - surely it doesn't rub off with other clean scents.

So if you approach the test completely unbiased and without pictures in your head, desert wind is a beautiful, down-to-earth scent in light concentration. With pictures, it simply misses the point for me.

I also have the WüWi and like to wear it, but without excessive enthusiasm. I find it nice. Not anymore. Because of its soft transparency a good office scent. By the way, I also recognise the parallels to Felce Azzura.

FVSpee The Lehmannian desert wind was already there today and it blows just as pink powdery. Is the question now, if the clean but noble packaging and the surrounding of Mrs. Toni are worth the extra price? I personally found the Lehmann-style retro label and the way it looks and feels "more genuine" :-) Lehmann has one more customer. But I'm not angry about the purchase from Mrs. Toni - I will not buy this fragrance there again :-)

Lehmann-WüWi will blow just like the Toni-WüWi, only cheaper. Lehmann always has "Versandtag" on Wednesdays. But normally he should react immediately on e-mails with orders. With me he actually does that too.

Ha ha ha, great headline! Look at it like you, the name has nothing to do with the content. Unless it's about a powder storm in the pink desert! Mrs. Toni does not produce any fragrances, but only buys (legally, with the consent of the manufacturers) fragrances from other manufacturers, relabels them (usually even with the same name) and sells them at multiple prices. About 60% of the Toni fragrances are from Lehmann. That's my pretty much assured level of knowledge. Therefore I am 99% sure that your

Nicely described. I had the desert wind from Lehmann. I don't know what Ms. Toni's smells like. But Lehmann's is like baby powder. Clean, powdery, beautiful.
