Summer Mood!

~ Inspiration ~
Gabriela Sabatini is a well-known tennis player who was very successful in the past. I stumbled upon her perfume at DM and "blind" purchased it here from Kleopatra.

~ Bottle ~
The small glass bottle is quite simple but handy. The liquid shimmers in warm yellow and gold tones. The name "Ocean Sun" already suggests a summery (vacation) scent.

~ Fragrance ~
Mango, mandarins, and nashi pears create a fresh and fruity top note. After a few minutes, floral lily of the valley, orchids, and violets join in, taking away some of its sweetness. The base note fades with warm woody notes and white musk.

~ Longevity ~
On my skin, it lasts about 4 hours (a bit longer on clothing and hair). You can comfortably use several sprays, but it becomes a bit too scratchy and synthetic for me.

~ Occasion ~
It fits well into the warm days of spring and summer (it would be too weak for evenings). It spreads a pleasant summer vacation feeling!

~ Conclusion ~
It leaves a light sunscreen aroma... Unfortunately, it’s just not sweet enough for me overall :(

Summer by the Sea or The Right Choice for Gloomy Days

If you, like me, love fresh scents, winter can be quite a challenge. My few sweeter fragrances tend to annoy me after just a few days. However, many of my fresh scents are too light, aquatic, or citrus-heavy.

"Ocean Sun," on the other hand, is a fresh fragrance that fits well in summer, but I also find it exceptionally pleasing right now. It is also one of the few scents where I can really detect the aforementioned fragrance pyramid. Usually, that doesn't work out so well. ;-)

The opening is fresh and fruity. Spray it on - and your mood lifts, the sky seems much less gray. :-) I do not perceive this scent as sweet at all. It has a soft, fruity freshness that reminds me of fresh fruits rather than candy. The heart note then becomes more elegant. Here, you can also clearly recognize lily of the valley, as well as orchid and a hint of violet. Beautifully crafted. The base is also very pleasant: white musk gives it a clean freshness, and the wood feels sun-warmed. A very airy, fresh fragrance with a warm base. And it has good longevity.

This scent truly reminds me of a beautiful summer day by the sea and is also a pleasant change from my winter fragrances now in winter. A real pick-me-up on gloomy days. It's a pity that I only discovered it for myself now; it's becoming hard to find.
