Uniquely green ambergris with mixed bright and earthy tones
Sampling one of the two newest releases from Gallagher Fragrances, Emerald Ambergris, which uses genuine ambergris in concert with mixed citruses, florals, patchouli, and vetiver. It’s fresh, bright, sharp, a mix of green/mossy/earthy. It’s quirky and mysterious, a bit unlike anything I’ve smelled, and I’m instantly quite intrigued by it as it’s not over the top in any one area, either, really an interesting composition with an interesting story.
Priced at $195 for 50ml and seemingly sold only via the house site in limited supply, it’s priced above the standard for the house, but this makes plenty of sense due to the rare, natural, difficult-to-source ambergris in the mix, and it performs quite well.
