the beauty of the moment when perfection ends
Right now in autumn, it can be observed again: the end of lush, radiant nature - green, rich, saturated - suddenly on the verge of tipping over. And then… then there is a brief phase, sometimes just moments, when everything shines in dazzling colors, shapes, and aromas, just before it collapses in on itself. Fruits ripen, summer flowers stretch toward the last rays of summer sun, everything thirsts and yearns for life-giving light just before decay. Flowers are wide open - tomorrow their petals will be crumpled and fall, fruit that is not harvested today will become wormy and ferment.
This moment is captured by Precipice. The juiciest radiance on the brink of tipping. A peak of late summer or early autumn, adult beauty just before aging, life in all its colors before it retreats into winter, leaving room for gentle contemplation, slowing down, and silence. The scent is not loud. Rather, it is a border crosser between magnificent zest for life and the hint of transience. There are animalistic flowers (which I cannot distinguish, but which convey to me an impression of almost overripe fruits), resinous undertones, and a latent earthy note in the background. Precipice is complex yet familiar. We all know transitions in life, and in this fragrance, I find the beauty of the moment when perfection ends. A gem. Beautiful. Wants to be discovered.

There has already been extensive reporting on Ananda's fragrances, the label, and the philosophy. In my opinion, always worth a scent journey.
… a bit like the adult version of Sticky Fingers…
