Little Stone of the Shamans
Focus on the Sastun, the little stone. Calm your consciousness. Breathe in. Ethereal and cool, the air will first be bitter and glaring green, like dew from enchanted fir winters, like lime crystals in swirling winds, and herbs grow like vertical roots that swell like ginger and needles burst, almost silently and in slow motion, the air lays itself like foliage over earthy moss, and rubbery milk flows from sandalwood into the damp ground, which sweetly and gently still smolders the brown needles of autumn in tiny spicy clouds, soon glowing amber and smoldering in the misty underbrush, together with your demons. Breathe out.

Gather Perfumes based in Massachusetts produces 100% natural fragrances. Ananda Wilson processes plant essences, extracts, and oils that either come from local wild growth or organic cultivation. She produces her fragrances in small batches, which are subject to natural seasonal variations.
"Sastun," the stone that traditional Maya healers use during their rituals, leads from ethereal bright green notes (bitter sage, lemony-woody cypress, fresh-herbaceous juniper) through earthy-rooty aromas (herbaceous lavender, coniferous-spicy, ginger-like galangal) and ultimately grounds itself in forest floor-like moss, brightened by rubbery sandalwood, sweetly balsamed with myrrh resin and enveloped by soft, slightly smoky amber. The stone of the shamans quietly lights the way through a seven-hour journey.

Me again. I was able to test it. Wow, no... It's unbearable. At least for me. Floyd wrote so beautifully about it, but I actually feel completely different after testing it. Unfortunately, it just doesn't work for me...

That's absolutely fantastic again - the entire scent journey in one sentence, and what a sentence it is! A lovely Maya mantra!

At some point, there will be a book, "Best of Natural and Alternative Perfumery," with your writings. I really hope so. You keep carving paths through this often overwhelming forest.

Your enchanted stone made me take a real deep breath again. Thank you for that! It seems to be a very, very lovely forest and earthy scent, even though I don't really need the juniper :))

You could really indulge in your pictures, which give a better impression of the scent than many seemingly precise descriptions. For me, though, the fragrance probably isn't for me.

I happily followed this respiratory excursion as always and let myself be olfactorily inspired by Sastun... what an enlightenment!

Luckily, the text wasn't too long until I could breathe out again ;)

Once again, I wonder if the images you describe are more interesting than this herbal-spicy scent, which would probably be too natural for me.

... I can't quite get along with juniper ... everything else, not least thanks to your vivid description, creates an apparently relaxing, very imaginable woody scent atmosphere - if it also keeps the demons away! ;)) ...

Very seductive-sounding olfactory self-enchantment, fir winter + sandalwood sound particularly uplifting together. A lemon crystal vase with wild herbs for you!

Beautifully described - but I felt similar to JonasP1, it didn't quite hit me either...

A stone, a Sastun could definitely be helpful in healing various little ailments that come with aging. If it smells like this perfume, I'm all for it!

Still, I can't tell: is Satsun just some stone attributed with certain powers (e.g., due to its shape, color) or is it a specific mineral stone? Or is it copal, the younger, resin-scented amber?

Very nicely written comment! I perceived the scent quite similarly, but unfortunately, it didn't convince me.

Just as Gather can conjure with scents, you conjure with words. A beautiful expansion of consciousness in the cool forest.

You take us back to distant lands. It might be a bit too mossy for me, but I enjoyed accompanying you on the journey and now I feel wonderfully relaxed.

I really like the brand's concept, and I find the Mayan culture extremely interesting. I also really like your comment - however, the scent would most likely be too herbal for me.
