Very helpful Review
on quiet furry paws into the woody dark
Here my lack of body warmth shows itself once again, or perhaps the furry little creatures are truly so light-footed and peaceful that I do not perceive them as unpleasant at all.
For actually, it is a well-aromatized wood note with a pleasantly fragrant, very noble glow and agreeable animalic qualities that has been accompanying me for some time.
A bit of fermented milk, a proper scent shower from dirty, furry animals on quiet paws, a lot of wood, and a floral splendor that stands out particularly due to a precious fragrance ingredient: This is how "Soft Animals" presents itself to me.
So there is no reason for excitement!
But please do not forget and only consider this: These are the scent experiences of a "fish blood" with very little fire under the skin!
While I have a pronounced animal hair allergy, I have been able to endure quite a bit of "stench" for some time now; who would have thought that of me, the meticulous sensitive one: But sometimes I literally long for a strong, dark oud or animalic fragrance!
As the gentleman Geheimrat already said, and he knew such things:
"So I stagger from desire to enjoyment and in enjoyment I languish for desire."
Not only the German teachers among you will know that I am of course quoting from "Faust I".
Now "Soft Animals" does not contain oud; heavy and spicy and very noble is this arrangement in any case.
And here it already emerges from the rich, spicy woody darkness: The noble scent of the so-called "Joy" tree, obtained from the oil of "Magnolia champaka" and the base ingredient of what is still the most expensive perfume in the world: Jean Patou's "Joy"! Hm…!
The few remaining drops confirm to me: Yes, it is this beauty that is accompanied by other flowers in "Soft Animals," which provide it with "only" the escort, while at the same time being indispensable.
Beautiful as a soloist, this magnolia dream scent in this composition would only be a reflection of itself.
For only in this quiet, discreetly arranged accompaniment can this floral dream unfold as a rich olfactory experience through dark woods of tree and shrub, still full of sap and strength, already stacked for further processing or already decaying, winding where some small, as always slightly stinky furry creatures have left their own animalic scent notes and their fur behind: A clearly animalistic paw print in this amazing fragrance creation!
Above all of this lies the slightly fleeting, sour veil of fermented milk and as surprising as it sounds; everything fits together excellently:
This noble, so valuable magnolia flower aroma in friendly floral accompaniment, the dark expressive wood with its animal inhabitants, and this fine lactic acid note that further emphasizes the clearly perceptible animalic qualities.
"Soft Animals" is certainly not a great joy for "scent aesthetes," but this dark, full-bodied work of art accompanies me pleasantly for several hours; not only woody-dark, but with repeatedly flashing "Joy" scent diamonds and their extraordinary radiance in the wonderfully developing course.
Perhaps it is once again due to my "fish blood" that we both harmonize so well.
I lack the comparison to warm-blooded creatures, so I can only express my personal enthusiasm for this magnificent kaleidoscope that reveals to me this dark, furry scent being.
So please be cautious: All these statements are made without guarantee!
