Royal secret
And once again I've got hold of a fragrance that I've been looking for for a while and have now found.
It has an interesting name and makes me curious as to what is behind it.
You always have to be a little careful with such old treasures, because you never know whether they still hold any of the fragrance secrets (and here even the royal ones) that they promise.
At the beginning, I am greeted by a full load of the extremely aromatic lavender, its calming, relaxing effect is well known and I like it when a fragrance starts like this.
The "lemony-galvanic" notes have probably already faded, at least I don't notice them.
However, after a while, a very slightly floral nuance emerges, but I can't say what it is, possibly geranium, which doesn't smell sweet.
Violets and lily of the valley definitely not, they would be too sweet. And you can't call the fragrance sweet, rather tart, as vetiver is mixed in, which is attributed to a smoky, earthy scent. Vetiver is also supposed to spread serenity, which is never wrong because who doesn't want a dose of that, right? Patchouli is also listed, but you need a lot of imagination to sniff it out, I don't have it, at least not with this fragrance. However, I imagine that sandalwood is minimally detectable.
All in all, an aromatic, balsamic-green-resinous fragrance that has no sweet components.
And, HA, here it comes: at the very end, this unique fragrance ends with a hint of vanilla, isn't that great?
P.S. In the absence of a suitable bottle, I have entered my rating here at COLOGNE, although my 100 ml bottle says EAU DE TOILETTE and it looks just like Susan, Philosykos and Tweed photographed it. Red cap, set off with a golden band in the middle, square belly with grooves.
