The Shortcut

So... More than a year ago, I ventured into a Karstadt for the first time to consciously buy perfume. When I was there, I didn't come out until 2 hours later, proud as punch. I was torn between Prada Luna Rossa and Armani Aqua di Gio. I ultimately chose the Prada scent, which works great as an everyday fragrance. But I couldn't get the Armani out of my head; it lingered all weekend, and on Monday, I rushed back to Karstadt to get it. This aquatic wonder, I read a lot about how one should opt for the Profumo version, but I consciously decided on the regular one. A week later, we went to Sylt, and I chose to take my fresh friend Aqua di Gio instead of the Prada scent. When I wandered through the dunes on a shortcut to the sea, the reeds brushing against my legs and the salty wind blowing my hair out of my face while I hear the waves crashing, that's what I associate with Aqua di Gio. Additionally, I discovered Parfumo there for the first time, a fragrance podcast, and I engaged with what I had actually bought. For me, Aqua di Gio represents the mornings when I woke up early and went for a walk by the sea at 5:30, with the fresh North Sea breeze in my hair. Aqua di Gio is the sea for me and my entry into the world of perfume. And as Tom Ford said: Scent Memory is one of the strongest things we can experience. And I've noticed that too. Every time I smell Aqua di Gio, I'm back in Sylt on my shortcut to the sea...

Why would you buy a fragrance at Karstadt?

Because it's cheap there? Just a thought, but I could be wrong.
