Delicate Everyday Scent with Slightly Low Longevity

I am currently on the lookout for a fragrance that I have encountered a few times and that has really impressed me among passersby. The scent has been around for a while, but I don’t know what it is. Then I was in a drugstore and smelled something that strongly reminded me of it.
Problem: I didn’t remember what it was.
Solution: I told the lovely BlaueMaus about it, and we set out on a search and are still looking/guessing.
Consequence: A decant of Armani Code.
Spoiler: Great scent, but it wasn’t the one.

I remember that the really wonderful scent contains orange blossom and vanilla. This one has that too, which is why Frau Maus came up with the idea that it must be this one.
The first step has been taken, and I think I will find "the other" one again. If anyone wants to give a tip, feel free to share. ;)

Now to Armani: The scent is really very nice. It is floral and warm and not overpowering.
At least for me, it doesn’t undergo any transformation. I find that completely okay. I prefer a relatively consistent perfume that I like all the time over a scent whose drydown drives me crazy.
The Armani scent gently wafts away and then disappears quietly and without much fuss. It doesn’t cling too strongly to clothing, and after showering, everything is completely gone that you might have still been able to perceive with great effort. But that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Not everyone likes it when their clothes still smell of a fragrance after washing. That’s not a criterion for me, but longevity as a whole is.
Unfortunately, the longevity on my skin is not as pronounced as I would like it to be. After 4-5 hours, the magic is completely over - I would have wished for more. That can be nice sometimes, but I prefer it when a scent lasts a bit longer. Especially when I am at the office or have plans. It would be nice if it could hold on a bit longer.

In addition to the warm vanilla and floral orange blossom, the scent has a citrusy aspect, which could be the bitter orange. To my nose, I don’t perceive any unpleasant notes. I tolerate the scent well, don’t get headaches, don’t have to sneeze, and my skin also reacts well to it. For me, this is a harmonious composition that I enjoy smelling. However, I wouldn’t buy the nicely designed bottle.

I tested it in everyday life at warmer and very autumnal temperatures and found both suitable. The scent is rather close to the body and doesn’t leave a trail behind.

For everyday use (in the office), during sports (I haven’t tried that), and in my leisure time, it’s a nice companion. Pleasant, not overpowering, harmonious. I enjoyed using my decant, but I’m not endlessly sad that it’s empty.
