An atypical citrus
A wild citrus fragrance : Vento di Fiori is like this.
The refreshing opening, given by consistent and juicy citrus fruits, is made particular by woody and incensed accents, which make it atypical in the genre, rustic, with that extra touch that one would not expect from this kind of fragrances which usually have many aspects in common .
It's not my thing, but I would definitely notice the wearer.

Terre d'Hermes - softened
.. and by no means only suitable for women.
This fragrance can be labeled as unisex. There is not much that suggests feminine traits here, as the scent features many rich spices that spread across hot earth.

Vento di Fiori is, in my eyes, a softened version of Terre d'Hermes.
Not very edgy, but very balanced and clearly close to the skin over time.

The fragrance starts off very lemony, with a splash of mandarin. The spices roll in very quickly, and it immediately gives the impression that you are naked in the dark desert at night. For the first time, a cold, sandy note with a slightly differentiating scent of pepper, which is lightly nestled in smoke. But as the sun shines for the first time and time passes, this perfume becomes pleasantly warm. Earthy tones that blend with rich spices - a very enjoyable experience. Especially since the combination here is almost brilliantly executed. Lemon has taken a backseat and only gives off slight streams. The fragrance also gets a very gentle touch of wood.. over which a thin layer of resin is drawn. This is the centerpiece of the perfume. Really delicious. My husband is also positively impressed, as is my brother, who has snagged half of my sample.

The scent remains distinctly in the same place with its heart for a long time. In the right place.
As the day gets longer, and time has caught up with it, the lemon suffocates in its infancy. The earth is no longer quite warm, but only a pale shadow of itself. The spices silently fade away, leaving only a minimal hint of wood and resin behind. The longevity is in the upper range, the sillage a bit shyer.

For women and for men who want it earthy-spicy and warm.
Autumn and winter warmly welcome this scent and combine excellently with it.

Close to Terre d'Hermes. But clearly softened. Good for women who like to spray their chest with spicy scents!

A Fragrance with Two Faces
I found Vento di Fiori in my cookie jar twice. Thanks to good record-keeping, I know that the donors are Yalla and Marron, so a heartfelt thank you to both of them.

While watching TV, I test it, phew, this is quite a rough, harsh scent for creaky guys. Resinous, sharp, and smoky - I think of the Marlboro man (which used to be my preferred cigarette brand in the old days). Not really my thing, not iiihh, but I’m sure I have a men’s fragrance under my nose. I reach for the tablet to check this, battery dead, so never mind. A hint of patchouli wafts around the smoke, the harshness dissipates, Vento di Fiori becomes more agreeable, finely spicy. For the next hour, I don’t sniff around my wrist anymore, the crime drama is too exciting. I almost forget that I’m testing a fragrance. And then I can’t keep my nose away from my wrist. What is this now? The scent is now mossy green, slightly earthy, a juicy orange releases its fragrance, supported by wood and patchouli. Vento di Fiori is now beautiful and completely different from the harsh, rough beginning. Now I find the scent almost too sweet and - excuse me - too pretty for a guy.

The second test the next day went similarly, now I looked at the fragrance description and am totally amazed. A women’s fragrance, oh, who decided that? For me, this scent is clearly unisex, in the first phase rather masculine. But I’m even more surprised by the pyramid. In my fragrance perception, the order of the top, heart, and base notes is mixed up, very strange.

Vento di Fiori is exciting and very versatile, no question about it. I will definitely test it again in some time. I find the sillage not very strong, the longevity is good, and the scent is wearable all year round.

Terre d'Hermès for Women
Earlier in my favorite perfume store in Cologne, the very friendly and truly dedicated saleswoman:
"There's one more... do you know this Bois? ...and, what does this scent remind you of?" My gaze turned to the row of various Terre d'Hermès variants. At least one point for the bonus book was already secured ;)

In the citrusy opening note, the scent of a bitter orange dominates, which then settles down a bit. I suspect that the tarragon and lemon create this note, which has a slightly metallic sniff upon the first breath.
What remains and does not develop much further is this well-known, unmistakable mixture from TdH of citrusy, woody, and patchouli... unless I'm completely off here?

However, VdF is warmer, very similar in character to TdH, without producing that strong earthy tone.
Those who find the earthiness too intense might be happier with this composition from Bois 1920.

I prefer the fresher, warmer scent with the very slight sweetness and the special character of TdH.
Even though Vento di Fiori is labeled as a women's fragrance, I classify it as unisex 50/50.

Slightly brighter and creamier Terre d'Hermes. We should classify it as a men's perfume. Better than TdH when wearing a vivid color suit.

It smells almost exactly like Terre d'Hermes.
This example clearly shows how pointless the official classification by gender is.

Like a softer, warmer, slightly too harmonious TdH without strong edges, therefore not comparably good, but still beautiful.

Delicate-smoky yet summery. It has something. Pleasant and balanced, fine! I find it more masculine than feminine.

A late summer image of citrus fruits, blood-red wood, and dusty earth. The second gem from Bois 1920.

Pleasant earthy-woody Terre d'Hermès cousin!
Coriander thankfully stays subtle!
By no means 'just feminine'

Sunny autumn walk, autumn hike, it now accompanies me more. Herbal and not too spicy, rather earthy and vibrant.

Delicate resinous, transparent, and softly spicy. Beautiful scent with great summer suitability. Powdery undertone with a smoky touch & gentle amber.

TdH in a softer, floral, and feminine way - almost the female counterpart. Fruity - woody - subtly smoky with a hint of patchouli. Wow!
