Sweet Spicy Autumn

Loggia is sooo good! It’s a perfectly balanced blend of woods, spice, smoke, booze and sweet. It leans slightly gourmand without veering away from the atmosphere and going full on sweetie. Loggia is a perfect fall in a bottle scent that avoids that horrid pumpkin spice candle route so many Autumnal oils take. Don’t get me wrong, I love pumpkin spice but generally the oil based should be avoided WITH THE EXCEPTION OF: (also from Solstice) Jack & The Devil and Gunnersons Pumpkin Patch. If you’ve been hunting for smoky, boozy, spiced vanilla then look no further, Loggia is delicious. I only have a sample but I will definitely get a full size this year and throw it into my fall vibes rotation.

Loggia - A Loggia Within a Building

“The first cool summer evening of this year,” I think, as I sit wrapped in a blanket in the old wooden rocking chair with warm spiced tea. My glass of cognac is already on the small table next to the railing. Slowly rocking, my gaze drifts over the rooftops of the city.
In the distance, the monotonous roar of the highway can be heard. The long freight train, with its steady rhythm. Voices from the street café drift up to me. Laughter of children. They are playing hide and seek in the twilight.
I sit for a long time, listening to the city.

I must have fallen asleep. -
A voice wakes me: “Now it’s time to sleep.”
“Yes.”
I gladly allow myself to be helped from the wheelchair.
As she covers me, she looks at me lovingly, questioning.
“Loggia,” I say.
She sprays the fragrance on my favorite handkerchief and places it on my pillow. “I had a lovely evening…” I say, then I fall asleep again.

The scent immediately puts me in a relaxed, calm mood. It starts for me with a slightly sweet vanilla, reminiscent of spiced Ayurvedic tea, not mulled wine as one might expect. I can’t perceive any of the spices individually, but rather a harmonious overall picture. The dry wood reminds me of an old table or a rocking chair. I sense the cognac more than I taste it. Amber, musk, and incense provide warmth and allow me to snuggle into the fragrance.
It is a subtle scent, more for me and for those who are allowed to embrace me on this evening.

The name “Loggia” shows me that I have the freedom within me to evoke experiences that give me a sense of spaciousness and security - no matter where I am.
